The activity ideas are designed to be carried out in the classroom but you could reinforce your child/children's learning by trying some at home. They're outlined step-by-step and are very straightforward - have a go!
There are three simple activity ideas, each linking to one of the three themes in the interactive stories - Energy, Forces and Materials - and they're a great way to help your child/children's learning and have fun together!
The 'Marbling' activity accompanies the story A Drop of Oil and involves using oil and water to create marble paper.
The 'Slipping' activity accompanies A Slippery Day and involves investigating how different surfaces/textures affect friction and therefore the speed of an object.
The 'Make Your Own Handprint' activity accompanies the story What am I? and involves combining different, man-made materials to make their own handprint.
